My 2nd Fibroids surgery (part 1)

Hi Everyone,

So if you have been following me since 2009, then you already know about my Journey to Fibroids and my first Successful Surgery. If not, You can click here to find out how did I even start this blog. In 2011 after my surgery, my 2 new fibroids were pretty stable until about 2014. I started eating healthy, I was exercising and was starting a new journey to health. In mid-2014, I made a bad decision that didn’t help me health wise. Without going into details, I entered a relationship who unfortunately turned into a toxic relationship. My weight was fluctuating and I disregarded my health. Stress became the main product of consumption for a year. Late 2015, I freed myself, but the damage was already done. I did my best to take care of me again, but mentally and spiritually I was drained.

It took me a while to be myself again, during that time, my new fibroids became bigger and I gained 2 more fibroids after doing a new scan at the hospital. It took me a few years to really do anything about it (besides trying to eat as healthy as possible )because I was moving around a lot during that time. When I became more stable in 2017, my OBGYN told me that to have kids, I would need to have surgery first because of the location of the new fibroids. During that time, my health was so bad. I had severe anemia and even necessitated my very first blood transfusion, I had episodes of theses sides-illnesses also; hypothyroidism, constipation, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Severe Anemia, back pain, weight gain, Very bad and longer period (10 days heavy flow), nausea (sometimes I couldn’t even drink water), shortness of breath, depression, anxiety, tiredness, etc, etc, etc…. I though that was the end for me. I had almost lost hope.

Fibristal 30 Days

My doctor prescribed me FIBRISTAL, to help shrink the fibroids (all natural procedures to shrink the fibroids no longer applied to me to help reduce my now heavy fibroids; I truly look pregnant for 4 years). Fibristal is a pill you have to take every day for 3 months. It is prescribed for women like me who were suffering a whole lot especially during the periods. It stopped my period which is part of the process to help shrink the fibroids. I honestly felt like a new woman (temporarily). I had more energy and was able to do my day to day. The pills are expensive, even with the Canadian Insurances, it didn’t come cheap every month. But I was desperate, that was the last attempt before I decided for surgery.

To be continued….

10 years since I started my blog in 2009.

Hi everyone.

I know it has been a very very VERY long time since the last time I posted here on my blog. If you follow me on my other social media pages, you probably already follow some of my life adventure. This page is dear to me because I started n 2009 with my journey dealing with Fibroids: My frustration, my surgery etc. In 2009, things were much different. There were barely any information about fibroids. All you read was stats and hysterectomies, no pictures or videos, it was very taboo to even talk about. I always refused to accept either or because I knew that I wanted a child, my instinct was telling me that I am not a statistic and I am not having a hysterectomy. I am still not with child but I do have a better understanding of what it is and what happened. I would like to give a big thanks to the people around the world who have written to me in the last decade, even until now, who have dealt with the same situation, we are still getting the word out on Fibroids, PCOS, ENDOMETRIOSIS, Ovarian Cysts, and all the other sickness related to our Uterus.

I recently had to go to another surgery. This time, it was a laparatomy myomectomy. I will give more details on my next blog post. I also had to work a lot on myself and I didn’t want to repeat myself and also I wanted to make sure that I was in a stable position in my life before starting again. I am so thankful that I am in a better position, mentally and physically. I am still learning about myself and about what I have to do for myself first.

I am thankful that you can still read me today. I have so much to share. This year is all about continuing my journey with a better understanting of myself. I am very blessed. I see things much differently and for once, I do not have the winter blues (I was almost about to wait until spring to restart writting). We are in the middle of winter, today we are having another snowstorm, but I am happy. I will write much more and I hope you will join me in my universe.

A lot of you did wrote to me throughout the years, have you been able to cure yourself from the fibroids or any other problem of the kind? I would love to read you all. In proper term: How are you doing?

DANCE AFRICA 2016

This was my third time attending the DANCE AFRICA FESTIVAL & BAZAAR. Once again, it did not disappointed. I enjoyed it so much I attended 2 days in a row. The Festival was held Downtown Brooklyn, where part of Ashland Place and Lafayette ave were shut to accommodate the tents and visitors of the festival. Sponsored by BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), the festival became a sensation decades ago; and even in theses days where Downtown Brooklyn (and most part of Brooklyn) is being transformed into a second Manhattan, the place was well set around the construction areas. This year was the 39th anniversary of the Festival and Senegal was the featured country. It was filled with different vendors selling either food, different African and Caribbean arts and also clothing (I was able to purchase my first Dashiki).

Next year will be 40 years the Festival will celebrate. I know they will do something even bigger, maybe what you will see here will encourage you to come to the next one.

I definitely enjoyed myself with my cousin who came with me. I did miss the opening dance ceremony and certain important highlights of the Bazaar Festival but I hope it will encourage you to come next year and the year beyond, as long as the City of New York will let us vibing in the different African Sounds. I will come back again next year!!

Bless,

Hi,

I made a video on my Youtube channel to speak about the latest vitamins I am taking since the year has started.

This is my first step to restore health not only on my hair but also for my body in general. As you know I have Fibroids and I also have Iron Deficiency. Kia Soul, Soul Stealer of an Award Show

There is a fight that everyone should be attending.

David vs Goliath battle

David vs Goliath battle

How unfair it is for a small company to bring an award show proposal to Kia Motors, a big company, and then during the negotiation process, learning that Kia Motors took the same idea to YoutubeWalk The Talk LLC (WTT) for  StarsofWWW  brought their idea proposal to Kia to do an Internet Award Show, then less than a year later, found out Kia Motors presented the award show with Youtube.  What is unfair here  WTT haven’t received any credits, not even a mention about their visionary involvement.

By doing my research, I found out Kia Motors have been taking total credits off of other people’s idea as well. Joe Ann Lias, had a book, and the story about this book is similar to the Kia mascot click here for the story. And people already know how Kia is being sued for misrepresenting fuel efficiency in Canada and in the US between 2010 & 2013.

Going back to the award show, a PRESS RELEASE have been sent. The more people are aware of the situation, the less KIA MOTORS and some of the big corporate companies will attempt to take credit for innovative ideas coming from smaller businesses.

YouTube Steals Idea From One Of It’s Content Producers with KIA in the Driver’s Seat
For Immediate Release

(New York) November 17, 2013 Walk The Talk (WTT), a small, start-up company launched StarsofWWW.com to honor the stars of YouTube (YT) and Facebook artists. Internet’s Best Talent (IBT) videos are created with YouTube and Facebook stars alongside Grammy Award Winning performers in addition to musical celebrities.
.
Walk The Talk, LLC were in the process of producing the ‘Internet’s Best Talent First Music Award Show’ during the weekend of VidCon 2013. WTT had a contract to host the event at the glamorous Grove of Anaheim. Various additional aspects were in place including contacts with YT stars and sponsors.

WTT presented KIA Motors with an extensive concept for sponsoring its award show. KIA signed and submitted a non-disclosure for an idea that clearly would benefit them extensively with a minimally tapped audience. KIA, enthralled by the idea opened its doors to their advertising talent agency, US Initiative.

WTT made several revisions to proposals. There were also in person and phone meetings as well as prodigious email communications to indicate KIA would be the lead, presenting sponsor for ‘WTT’s Award Show’.

Things took a drastic turn when WTT realized that KIA’s financial commitment was slated for VidCon instead of their award show; KIA was informed of VidCon by WTT. During VidCon ’13 WTT was asked by Initiative if they were the driving force behind the YouTube/KIA upcoming award show. WTT was oblivious of a KIA/YT award show. WTT approached their KIA contact, George Haynes; he informed WTT that there was a gag order in place but WTT was assured that the award shows were not similar. In WTT approaching YT, they denied the development of an award show due to various legalities.

October 2, 2013 WTT was surprised at an email announcement from YT regarding an award show hosted by Lady Gaga presented by KIA on November 3, 2013. The award show entailed many of the same points submitted to KIA by WTT. To date, Walk The Talk has neither received credit or compensation.

Walk the Talk, LLC (starsofwww.com/SOWWW) is a collective that consists of producers, directors, editors, web designers, programmers and artists, contributing a wealth of knowledge, talent and creativity as a multi-media entertainment company. WTT’s team has over 30 years combined experience. SOWWW is the global introduction to WTT.

SACHIKA TWINS @ STYLE LA FASHION WEEK

The new Collection “Fearlessly Sensual” by SACHIKA was held last month, October 14th 2013 in Los Angeles. It was presented by AVITA during STYLE FASHION WEEK. I was not able to attend this time, but I will share with you some of their new pieces.

To-Tam & To-Nya known as The Sachika Twins have been blowing up the fashion scene for a few years now, and every time they are showcasing a new collection, their unique dresses & outfits becomes in high demand by celebrities and individuals. SACHIKA is “For the Modern Woman”, and it represents the Strong Independent Woman who knows what she wants. For this Show, they are also revamping the man’s collection TUXX by SACHIKA which is for the busy man on the go, who is adventurous, simple and confident.

The Spring/Summer 2014 SACHIKA FASHION SHOW  had a dominatrix eletro-funk-sensual feeling. The clothes are very sexy & reveals some kinkiness, but at the same time, it keeps that classy touch, enough  for the person who exude confidence to wear it everywhere and make a statement. It is for the ladies (or men) who wants something out of the ordinary. The mix of different fabrics are well put together and it shows in the quality of the different designs that gives it that one of a kind ensemble. After seeing some of the outfits here, I would suggest to visit their website and see their collection and order because it will sell out fast just like the past collections.

Weight Loss/Fibroids: Update Summer 2013

Hi,

It has been a long time since I documented my journey about my fibroids. Up until last year, I was also fighting Thyroids. I was lucky that I wasn’t prescribed any medications. Last August, I had a wake-up call while I was on vacation at my mom’s in Montreal, Canada. I was at 210 lbs. I could NOT BELIEVE IT!! As I am typing this I am still in shock, because throughout my life I was always very active. I only gained some weight when I wasn’t doing anything. Even when I did, I was able to kick myself out of it real quick, and I was back to normal.

After second diagnosis with the fibroids, I just could not loose any weight, I went to the gym about 3 times a week, and I was training for 2 hours, I stopped drinking any alcohol, I almost became a vegetarian. No results: no gain, no loss, no sweat. That’s when I went back to my family doctor and they did a blood test and told me it looked like I had hypothyroidism. But she would not prescribe me anything yet because once you start taking theses types of medication, you have to take them for the rest of your life. So she made me come back every 6 months to make other blood tests. Same results.

I remember during that time, being so stressed internally, and I know it didn’t helped my case. I would not stressed about the fibroids case itself, but I would stress about anything else going on in my life. I wanted to have kids, a husband, a normal life, but never could find the right partner, I though to myself that I was getting old and that if I don’t do anything about it, then my eggs would expire. I went through some of the worse part of my life instead of not stressing.

This year after a very bad break-up I found myself in an hospital, and that is when I had my life wake-up call. I had a panic attack, and I though I was having a heart attack. They did an EKG at the doctor at first and on the first test, it wasn’t normal, so the doctor sent me to the Emergency Room. On my way there, my thoughts were changing, I told myself I could continue to stress about life and everything under the sun and die, or live and just do me and let God guide me. The second test with the technician was normal.

EKG Scare

That was my sign, I choose God.  Before I even saw the doctor, I left the hospital (I couldn’t afford the fees), I swore to myself that I would not let anybody else treat me the way I was being treated, and I started with me. I moved out of my place, I cut a lot of people out of my life, off my phone, off my gmail, etc,  and I decided to start running every morning to give my a jump start to feel better about myself. I remember, how I used to stretch in the morning and meditate waking up early just to find some inspiration before starting my day.

Planet Fitness

I registered to Planet Fitness and I was doing only 45 minutes. It really helped me out a lot. My best friend Yona is a personal trainer now, but she gave me a long time ago a simple training exercise regiment to do to stay in shape (she also always been very active, basketball player, to skateboard, to gym addict, to personal trainer). I remembered the training that she showed me back then and just did that. The first day I wanted to quit, but I kept repeating positive words to myself to keep on going.

To me, it was all about being active again, not being worried about loosing weight, and I started eating normally for most part, I drink wine and certain liquor, but I don’t overdo it. I occasionally even have some Mc Donalds to keep me happy. I am now at 165lbs and I know by next year I will be back to normal, 150lbs is my goal but already I feel much better about life and about everything. I hate running, but it helped a lot. I am going to take some kickboxing classes again this fall, and I am going back to my normal life. I don’t diet, because I believe when you diet, you do it temporarily and as soon as you go back to your regular eating habits, weight comes back. I adopted this mentality a long time ago when I saw Jennifer Aniston on tv and the interviewer asked her what type of diet is she following and she responded :  “The Common Sense Diet”, she don’t diet, she learned not to overeat. Personally, I don’t diet, I think the only diet I have done is the no alcohol diet and I have failed I guess..lol

IMG_20130819_143116

I still have the 3 fibroids, but they haven’t grown in size since 2011, the biggest one is 3cm. That was the last result from My OB/GYN in June 2013. Also I still don’t have my flat stomach as you can see, but it will come in time, I can finally do some crunches without my scar area hurting me. I haven’t gain weight overnight, so I know I will not loose it overnight but I am getting there. I am so happy about life again, I have much more energy and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

I hope this helps someone who feels discouraged, because I know I was, and also, if it wasn’t for the right people around me at that time, God only knows where I would’ve ended up.

Thank you to all of the people who helped me getting my life back. Also, thank you for reading My story and to share with me your own personal Journey, I trully appreciate it!

Bless,
