FIBROIDS, LIFE AFTER 3 YEARS!! How do you deal with?

Hi,

It has been a very long time since I have posted anything, I was away as I was reorganising my whole life, if I can say it like that.

For my fibroids, I have another appointment this June to find out if my fibroids grew.

Lately I had more health issues, my thyroids glands have been abnormal (white blood vessels test results lower than normal). I have not been able to loose weight for more than a year. So far, I have not been prescribed any medications, but I still have to do more tests before they are sure that the problem is really hypothyroidism.

For my fibroids, I am on and off with chicken and Turkey,  but I do eat MUCH less of those than before. I have started taking my hemp oil again morning and nights and it does help, especially when I have my periods which is back to almost as heavy as they were before, but not for the same lengh  (5-6 days, compared to 7 to 10 days before).

I read and receive a lot of emails from you all, and I am so thankful because I know I am not the only one going through it… Especially I have  3 fibroids that came back and I am staying as positive as possible.

A reader wrote a comment on my Hemp Oil to cure fibroids (Isis) and she wrote that if it comes back, sometimes you have to change your environment, and I was thinking a lot about that and it made sense. I am making a lot of “LIFE CLEAN UP”, I am taking more and more into consideration who I am letting in my life, what I eat etc, because a lot of sickness we have is due to stress that we endure for too long sometimes, and I want to have a better and healthier life with myself.

So my question to those who already had a surgery, could be Myommectomy, Hysterectomy, Laparoscopy etc… How did you cope with the POST-surgery?

Let’s discuss in the comments below, the more we share, the better.

Stay positive!

Bless,

QUICKTRIM:Is It Worth It?

Last fall, I was about to start a diet to loose the extra pound that I gained over the year “post-myomectomy surgery“. I never bought strict diet products, and I kept seeing the advertisement for QuickTrim, sponsored and promoted by Kim & Khloe Kardashian:

Quick Trim Fast Cleanse

Before purchasing QuickTrim I had made some research and read the comments. I read mixed reviews about it, so I told myself, since I’m motivated to do something about the weight, why not try now? My doctor told me I was fine to go back to a normal life so why not. I bought that expensive juice.

4 ounces of QuickTrim mixed with 4 ounces of Water. That’s it!! I had to admit it.. it did tastes good. Like a light lemon juice. It was very light tasty and no sugar and I had a healthy breakfast to go with it (boiled eggs and broccoli).  Not even an hour later, I had energy: I don’t know if it was because of the QuickTrim but I went outside and decided to run. When it was lunch time, I took the second dose with lunch which was also healthy. I was still feeling good. I in the afternoon I took a snack (almond and apple), then took my third dose…

That’s when my pain began. I was started to feel pain from the side of my eye, which changed into a headache, which switched to a full migraine. I have a history of migraine which usually happens when I forget to eat, stress, fatigue, dehydration etc… but that day I was completely free, drank a LOT of water during the day, no stress etc. I was completely fine. Until that evening. I started to sweat, so I layed down and put a wet rag on my face. Wasnt sure If I could take and Advil or Tylenol or any medication, so I didn’t took anything. It got so bad that nausea and diarrhea kicked in… I felt as if I had the biggest hangover mixed with food poisoning.

I eventually fell asleep, woke up early the next morning, still feeling dizzy and a little bit sick. Drank more water, nausea and diarrhea had stopped by then, but I was not feeling great. Of course, continuing the QuickTrim would’ve been a real bad idea.. only 3 little doses and it got me to that point? Maybe that’s why they called it the Fast Cleanse, it did cleanse me of everything I ate that day. I decided to let that go and gave the rest of the bottle to one of my friend, after I have told her my experience with it. She wanted to try, so I told her to be careful with it.

For me, it was a waste of my money, it might work for some people but I wouldn’t recommend it to my peers. Normal exercises and healthy living is always the best. And by drinking lots of clear water, of course it will help. As the weather was getting cold, I decided to register to a gym…

Do you have any diet gone-wrong experience? Was QuickTrim good for you? Let me know!

Bless

Abdominal Myomectomy Post-Surgery: 6 Months

May 30th has been 6 months since my abdominal myomectomy surgery. I received a lot of comments and emails thanking me about me  telling my story. I am very greateful for wordpress blog to be able to share it. Also because of the internet I was able to find a lot of options BEFORE my surgery..

I was looking into informations about my stage: 6 months post-surgery. Haven’t found many stories, articles or tips but I will tell you what happen with me in the past couple of month.

I think it is my hormones acting up though. I am loosing and gaining weight like a menopausal woman. I am not big but I am not the size 5-6 around the waist like I used to (not yet). I didn’t try to diet too much because I know I am not in that level yet. I do some exercices here and there but I guess if I was doing more, I will see more results. I stopped doing crunches for a while, it was hurting my bottom abdominal, where the scar is still visible. I lift little weights, but what I do mostly is taking very long walks and run. I use to HATE running, and I haven’t done it in a few weeks because I was moving to a new place, but it is a part of my recovery exercices that I have to do.

Other things that I’ve noticed, when I’m sitting down, I have to stretch arms in the air a lot. If not, the bottom part of my stomach starts to hurt like my stomach is too big for the scar, but that’s my fault I think. To my thinking, I ate some fried food, and even though I’m eating more healthy like vegetables, fruits, fibers, taking iron supplements,  one day of fry food, alcohol and no exercises equals, food retention in my belly.. (I guess it is normal, right??). My birthday is in 22 days, June 24th, I have my doctor appointment in  a few weeks, so I will do as much as 3 times a week of running, eating healthy, drink lots of water, no alcohol (okay, less alcohol) and see what happen. I will take picture before and the day of my birthday so you can all see.

My periods cycle is so regular now and much less pain that I used to have before. Mostly, I try not to stress.. I went through a lot last winter and I believe that a healthy body comes with no stress or without putting any stress to it. I pray that I will remain healthy and that fibroids won’t come back until it is time to remove the whole uterus.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like my new found post-surgery curves, I even got some friends who wants to go through the same thing just to get more butt or chest, but I am more comfortable with a little less , or I just have to get used to it (aaaahh the quest for the perfect body)…

Myomectomy Journal: 2 Months Post-Op

I still remember my surgery day (November 30th 2k9)  like it was yesterday. But it happen now a little more than 2 months ago..

I went to see my doctor last thursday for my follow-up, it was suppose to be after 6 weeks, but hospital was full. Since I had my periods he couldn’t check everything. At first, the resident doctor came to see me to review my whole file. Then Dr. Buckett came in and he checked my stomach, pressed here and there, he seemed amazed that the scar cleaned. He then recommend that since it has been 2 months since the surgery, and since I hadn’t done ANY activities but walking (no sexual intercourse, no gym, no running, no smoking, very little alcohol), that I was ready to exercise again! He said to go back completely to normal, which I was very happy about it. It took me a lot of patience, I didn’t even sang anywhere, no photoshoot. It was like a real vacation.

I did put up some a little more weight, but I know it will come off pretty quickly, I like to move a lot and I am a very active usually, that is why it was a bit hard for me to stay still for 6 weeks. But I am giving myself a month to lose some (I really stopped eating pork and beef, as I read, it digest very slowly), lots of chicken, veggies, fruits, fish (tuna mostly).

My doctor told me to go back to normal, to gradually do exercises, because I was inactive for a while. Going up and down the stairs is hard, but I am trying as much as possible not to take elevators or escalators. Starting next week. I am enrolling myself to a gym, if there wasn’t any snow, I would run outside. Just 20 minutes a day I know will be okay. I will post some pics.

But, I am grateful because I am okay. Dr Buckett told me in my case, if I was trying now to have kids, I would need a C-section, but if I wait after a year, I might be able to do it naturally. I hope for Plan B. For my periods, the first few months might be difficult still because of the operation, but it will go back to normal after a few months. I told him that I have pain on the first day, but that my periods is only 4-5 days compare to before ( 7 -10 days) which is pretty amazing. As for my anemia, he mentioned to continue taking Iron. Then he sent me to take blood test, if my level is still very low, he will call me back. I didn’t have to ask other questions. But I am going to see him again in June for another follow-up on my health.

I’ve done a lot of stretching and I really can’t wait to have my shape back, so that I could do what needs to be done. I received the informations about ASK4TELL4, Beverly Johnson Fibroids Campaign. I do not work for them, but I am urging EVERY WOMAN to order the information kit, it is free and contain a lot of informations about Fibroids Treatment Options. Beverly Johnson started this because she went through it herself, and she doesn’t want other women to go through it without getting all the proper information.

Ask4Tell4 Brochures Kit

Get your free brochure at http://www.ask4tell4.com and spread the word as much as possible. As you will see in the brochure, it starts with that question : “Do I want to keep my fertility?”, on my end it was a YES and it did happen. For now I am cured. But as I was informed, fibroids can come back (I’m not sure about my dermoid cysts), but for now I am safe.

I am glad that my story touched so many women. Thank you for the positive responses and feedbacks, emails etc.

Stay blessed women and stay positive,

Miss Jhane
