Tea to Shrink the Fibroids

I was talking with my one of my cousin the other day and she also had fibroids, and like most of us, she is doing the best to keep things as natural as possible for the Fibroids to stay shrunk or to avoid for them to come back.

I was telling her about me taking green tea and she recommended that I take Dandelion Root, after she got the recommendations from her doctor. And she explains that it help to urinate more & less menstrual pain. I was sold to that. I went to the Herb Shoppe downtown Brooklyn, the woman over there was so nice. She not only recommend to take the Dandelion Root, instead of just the Dandelion Herbs, she also print out a list of food to eat and what to avoid when you have Fibroids.

The same night, I follow the recipe. It taste good I was surprised, the first week I did pee a lot. I was feeling lighter as well. Maybe it is also good to loose weight, if I can have both in one that would be perfect (I later found out it has laxative effect).

I will continue drinking this tea 3 times a week until I see my doctor next month. I believe you can drink it every day but that’s how I choose to drink it at the moment. Hopefully, by my next appointment they would have shrunk to a invisible size.

So far I do notice that I have lost weight. My stomach has lost some fat a little but it is still not flat like I want it yet. Hopefully soon. I stay positive.

I have made a video tutorial on how to make the Dandelion Root Tea on my Youtube channel. I am thankful for everyday, my Journey has changed a lot since 2009 when I first had my fibroids, but I am greateful for everything.

I hope this helps & I hope it works.

  1. Hi MissJhane,
I had my myomectomy late February. My doctor says she was able to remove the larger ones (largest 6-7cm) however, could not remove all w/o hysterectomy. I’m 44 yrs young and have never had children. I know it sounds cray cray to still want a child, however, I still want that option.
I started drinking black strap molasses n lemon daily. However, my doctor says even though I’m healing fine, my uterus is still too enlarged. She asked if I am open to trying a hormone shot that will shrinks the uterus, stop the body from producing estrogen (periods), and will bring on menopause (hot flashes, acne).
I am opened to trying it for a month to see how it goes. If I was younger maybe I would not. However, time is not on my side. I will however, try the dandelion root tea. Cant hurt at this point.

    • yes try the dandelion tea, it helps a lot!!

I am not sure about hormone shots. if it brings the menopause it means you won’t have any more children. Trust your instinct. If you think it is a good idea then I believe you can, but from what you wrote, it seems to me that you want to have children. If anything take another appointment with another OB/GYN to make sure of what are your real options. Have you tried Acupuncture?? I have done it a few times last year, and it helps to calm the nerves

  2. P.S- I had my doctor take pics of my fibroids. I wanted to see what had been growing and causing my periods to be ungodly heavy. Was going to try and post pic but did not want to freak anyone out.

    • I never saw mine, for some reasons he said it is only fiber, they don’t do anything with it, they just throw it away after doing some tests. I saw on a few youtube pages. it is so weird…

  3. hi.. do you have heavy bleeding and clots coming out?? if yes then how you manage your life with heavy bleeding and clots… i have 2 fibroids 5 cm and 6cm and very very heavy bleeding.. please reply about bleeding and CLOTS.. please help me.. i do not find enough information about fibroids… since i am unmarried 22 years old my doctor says leave fibroids as they are.. we cant do anything about them right now
they give me medicine (transamine) to stop bleeding but my bleeding is not under control

    please reply

    • Hi,

After my myomectomy I had no clots or heavy bleeding. Since my fibroids came back (3 more came back, they are small but they are here), I do have more concern because the blood clots and heavy bleeding are back as well, the past few months were horrible because of it. With the Dandelion Tea it helps, less blood clots, but still there. I am seeing my doctor at the end of this month and I will be able to give more news. I will ask ALL OF THE necessary questions. I never had medecine and I try not to as well, my OB/GYN don’t recommend that I take anything but TYLENOL extra-strength for the pain, if possible.

The fibroids you have must be inside the uterus (which can explain the heavy bleeding and blood clots because of the position where they are) and it is too complicated for a doctor to do a surgery without removing the whole uterus. I am no doctor but one of my friend had multiple fibroids, inside and out and the doctor advise her to have a child before doing the operation. Not only she had a baby (through C-Section of course), but they were able to remove the fibroids without a surgery. She is very happy.

A diet change might be in order. Read this blog I did a long time ago. hope it will help

      • This is the end of November…… What happen with your fibroma and the tea? It work you have a medical test?

      • I haven’t been to the doctor since spring. I was waiting on next spring so that would be 1 full year since my last OBGYN appointment. I had stopped for a while, but I got back on it this past fall and winter as I felt my period was heavier than usual and also lots of tummy pain. But since I was under a lot of stress, I didn’t help my case. I will do a follow up on that very soon. I did drink more different herbal teas. Thanks for reading.

    • 2009 was my surgery. New fibroids were found in 2011. so far they are stable and very small.. (only 3 less than 1 cm). I have my follow up this may. I will give more news then. Thanks for reading

  9. hi i was diagnose also that have fundal fibroid and i want try dandelion tea i dont know where to buy it,do chinese medicinal store sell it i am working here in brunei

  10. Thank you soooooo much for this information about fibroids! I have many and am having a myomectomy in August to remove the bigger ones. I’m 38 and have never had children and would like to look at natural ways of trying to reduce the remaining fibroids after this op. I would like to keep my fertility for a few more years at least, and don’t like the idea of a future hysterectomy at all 😦 I’m also trying some visualisations every night right before I go to sleep which I think is always good for any health issue. But I will try the dandelion tea, thank you so much! Love and peace to you, keep us all updated. Xxx

  11. Hi miss jhanes,
I have multiple fibroids. I tried many types of herbal tea, apple cider vinegar but no shrinks yet. And I have havey periods. I am 40 years old I have a plan to bering a baby. What can you advise me please reply.

    • I can’t give you a specific diagnostic as I am not a Doctor, just a young woman who told her story. But you can consult a dietician who can help you with your overall diet. I don’t eat much meat and I notitce a change in my periods. I also cut the refine sugar. Little things like this. But to carry a child I would suggest see your OBGYN to do fertility tests first to see what can be the problem in you wanted to conceive. Let me know what happened
